Wedding Video Borgo Stomennano Tuscany
Chisato and Ryan met while living in Mongolia. They spent two years exploring the country’s expansive countryside, horseback riding, dog sledding, and camping in yurts. On their way back to the U.S., they enjoyed a 40-day trip exploring Southeast Asia together and have been settled in California ever since.
On January 28, 2017, Ryan proposed to Chisato at the peak of a beautiful snow-capped mountain during a hike in Yosemite National Park in California. Ryan even magically captured the proposal moment on camera by setting up the timer!
Ryan and Chisato decided they wanted to get married in Tuscany, as it was the groom’s favorite place in the world. They took a trip to Italy in Summer 2017 and fell in love with Borgo Stomennano.
The bride walked down with her parents to the string quartet rendition of “In My Life” by the Beatles, and the groom’s uncle officiated the ceremony in the beautiful garden area. The ceremony featured the Japanese “San-San-Kudo” sake drinking ritual, a heartwarming poem, and breaking the glass following the Jewish tradition.
Dinner took place in the back garden lit with magical fairy lights, followed by an epic dance party by the pool.
The bride wore a long-sleeve Alencon lace Silk Mikado gown by Anne Barge, which she paired with simple pearl earrings and strappy Stuart Weitzman sandals. The groom wore a custom-made midnight blue tuxedo by Tailor’s Keep and Antonio Maurizi slip-on loafers.
